Rapid Diagnostic Breast Clinic


What is the Rapid Diagnostic Breast Clinic (RDBC)?

The RDBC was designed at KCCC to expedite the diagnostic process and to provide a patient centered approach to care for patients who present with suspicious breast abnormalities. A dedicated healthcare team works together to provide patients with a comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plan within 48 hours of referral.

How will the clinic help me?

  • Coordinate appointments
  • Provide health information and education
  • Review previous imaging
  • Perform diagnostic imaging—mammography, ultrasound and/or MRI
  • Core biopsy and/or fine needle aspiration
  • Pathological diagnosis
  • Consultation with a surgeon
  • Collaboratively develop comprehensive treatment plan

If you notice a lump or you have a previous scan or image that detects abnormality in your breast, ask your doctor to write a referral to RDBC. You can also walk into the clinic and our Breast Care Specialists will be happy to help you navigate the process.


Where do I go?

The RDBC is located on the 1st Floor of Faisal Sultan Bin Essa Center for Radiodiagnosis and Radiotherapy. Faisal Sultan is located in the Al Sabah Medical District, Shuwaikh, Kuwait.


What do I bring to my appointment?

  • Previous breast imaging results (mammogram, ultrasound, CT scans, MRI, etc) if available
  • Previous biopsy results (from core biopsy, fine needle aspiration, etc) if available
